The headquarters for racing in Western Australia, Ascot Racecourse is situated 8 kilometres east of the Perth City Centre, with the head office of The Western Australian Turf Club positioned directly opposite; the grand old lady of Australian racecourses.
Race-goers during the Spring and Summer months will enjoy the picturesque gardens and magnificent facilities including:
• The Interstate and local Bookmakers Ring; an open sided pavilion running the length of the Main Tote
• Nine superb refurbished alfresco dining and bar facilities, specialising in fresh cuisine.
• Two tiered restaurants: one on the public floor named The Terrace and one for members named Flying Colours. Both offer race-goers spectacular views of the track and fine cuisine.
Ascot's 2,000 metre track is an attractive, modern and well drained track with a 300 metre inclining straight regarded by experts as the toughest test of stayers in Australia.
