Multicultural Australia is partnering with World Wellness Group and Queensland Program of Assistance to Survivors of Torture and Trauma (QPASTT) for a fundraiser event screening the inspiring documentary, Scattered People.
Through the eyes and hearts of two Iranian musicians, Scattered People is a story about the healing power of music, bringing together people, cultures and countries while exploring attitudes towards refugees and people seeking asylum. A story of restitution and hope, of shared humanity and the role music can play in forging bonds of friendship and respect and giving voice to otherwise unsung heroes.
The fundraising event will include the documentary screening and Q&A panel with Multicultural Australia CEO, Christine Castley and the documentary producers. Guests will also be treated to a musical performance by GANGgajang.
Ticket proceeds from the evening will raise funds for the Queensland Program of Assistance for Survivors of Torture and Trauma (QPASTT), supporting refugee women who have been impacted by domestic and family violence.
